Biodegradable waste

Any naturally occurring waste, such as egg shells, leftover food, tea and coffee grounds, fruit and vegetable waste, biopolymer packaging and wet paper waste are biodegradable and compostable.

Compostable waste should be collected in a separate container and composted by creating a compost pile.

Composting is not suitable for dairy and meat surpluses that promote bacteria growth and create an unpleasant odour in the decomposition process.
