Recycling PET bottles
Just like people and animals, recyclable materials such as PET bottles have a life-cycle. If everything goes as planned, their life-span lasts forever – first it is used by the consumers, then transferred to waste management companies and, if correctly sorted, PET bottles are processed by recycling companies into new PET bottles and the cycle resumes.
Recycling glass jars and bottles
Recycling one ton of raw glass materials saves one ton of quartz sand and 250 kg of soda ash. Yet, this could never happen if people did not sort glass packaging. It is important to remember that only glass packaging (glass jars and bottles) may be inserted into the separate waste collection containers. Glass, porcelain crockery and pottery must not be inserted. The content of the container is transported to processing plants by the waste management operator.

Recycling paper
Cellulose fibre may be recycled up to 7 times; therefore it is important to sort recyclable paper – newspapers, magazines, office paper, cardboard boxes, etc. The local waste management company takes care of the rest of the process – transporting the sorted waste paper to sorting lines, where the materials unsuitable for recycling are separated. The re-sorted cardboard and paper is pressed and transported to processing plants.
