After the completion the necessary documents, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development grants a 100% exemption from the NRT to the new licensees of Latvijas Zaļais Punkts (LZP). LZP registers its licensee at LEtERA („Latvian Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry Association”) that holds the Register of the Batteries or Accumulators and The Register of the Electrical and Electronics Equipment Producers .
When the first report filing period is approaching, a representative of the new licensee is invited to participate in a free seminar organized by LZP on the procedure of filling-in and filing the reports. During the seminar the representative learns how to use the LZP electronic data base and is informed about the latest news on managing waste goods harmful to the environment, i.e. legislation.
Every quarter the licensee prepares reports on the volume of the goods harmful to the environment placed on the market in the previous quarter. The deadline for the submission of the report is day seven of the following month. Based on the submitted reports, LZP prepares a bill and sends it to the company.
